Three top performers in 1st Pacific Leadership Academy Showcase finale

MANILA, Philippines - Three top Pinoy artists in their respective fields performed in a musical showcase that capped the ‘Thought Leadership’ seminar produced by The First Pacific Leadership Academy headed by Manny V. Pangilinan (left), who also celebrated his birthday that evening. Rachelle Gerodias (above, right), one of the country’s most award-winning sopranos, sang Mutya Ng Pasig, Sempre Libera and Light of a Million Mornings. Stages artist/singer/international-composer/talent Ryan Sy (above, left) sang his original composition, Weak & Dream. Internationally-acclaimed pianist Cecile Licad (middle) performed the Rachmaninoff Concerto No. 2 in Minor C. Joining the showcase were the finest musicians from Quintetto Felix that performed Air on a G String, Cinema Paradiso & Jazz Suite # 2 Waltz # 2 and the 64 members of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of their resident International Musical Conductor Olivier Ochanine from Paris. — CARLO OROSA
