Barbecue business changes troubled kid
MANILA, Philippines - When he was a kid, trouble always found Lad Agustin. As a teenager, he joined a fraternity and got kicked out of school several times.
All this changed when his overseas Filipino worker (OFW) father came home from the Middle East and started a barbecue business. Lad helped his father with the business. Their “Apork-able” barbecue in Marikina eventually grew, and soon they established “Ranchor Burgers” and launched a vendo machine that serves bulalo soup.
Along with this success, Lad became much closer to his dad, too.
