All about the eyes, two kinds of botox in Salamat Dok

MANILA, Philippines - They say that the eyes are the windows to the soul. But to ensure their health means giving utmost care not only on the sense of sight, but also giving attention to the areas around it.

Dr. Vicki Belo (photo) and Cristalle Belo Henares recommend three treatments that can best address the eye concerns. Mother and daughter will be guesting live and discuss these procedures in tomorrow’s episode of Salamat Dok on ABS-CBN airing at 7:30 a.m., also simulcast on ANC.

Teosyal is a dermal filler that addresses dark circles around the eyes. Patients on the go will definitely love this as they can resume regular activities right after the procedure. The result usually lasts for about six months.

It is a hyaluronic acid-based filler which can aid in hydrating the skin around the eye, improving circulation, addresses loss in volume, thus making the dark circles appear lighter. The filler also provides the skin with amino acids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins to help in cell regeneration and protection.

Embedded protein is the procedure that could best address problems of sunken eyes. It is an advanced acupuncture procedure that makes use of absorbable protein threads which are strategically placed underneath the skin to stimulate collagen production. It helps increase the volume around the eyes, improve skin tone and tighten loose skin.

Botox is the popular choice to remove wrinkles around the eye area. The procedure helps to relax facial muscles allowing the overlying skin to remain smooth and unwrinkled. It treats wrinkles around and in the corners of the eyes effectively. Dr. Belo will be doing a live demonstration of the botox procedure around the eye.

At the same time, Botox Masseter is a non-surgical procedure recommended to reshape the face and allow the masseter (thick muscle in the jaw line) to look smaller resulting in a softer and less angular appearance of the face.
