Kiko Matos on working with Solenn Heussaff: ‘Dream come true’

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It was a “dream come true” for Kiko Matos to work with Solenn Heussaff in the film “Mumbai Love.”

Kiko never thought that the girl who he just used to admire with his friends is now actually his leading lady.

“It’s amazing!” he enthusiastically replied when asked about how he’s feeling working with Solenn during the premier night of the film, Thursday, January 16.

“I mean, it’s like a dream come true, never in my wildest dreams na makakasama ko siya. I remember, one time my friends and I are just talking about her and now I just want to say, ‘hey, I’m with Solenn now!’” he added.

This is Kiko’s first mainstream film, and he’s very thankful to be paired with Solenn and to be part of this Bollywood type of film.

Through this film, Kiko says he was able to “immerse with the Indian community” since they were in Mumbai for two weeks and worked with a lot of Indian actors and staff.

When asked about one of the memorable experiences he had while doing this film, Kiko recalled the moment when “we went to a hotel in India, the elevator is really small. It only fits three people pero nakasulat sa elevator maximum capacity is six persons.”

But then he adds, “Well my favorite part in India is I’m next to Solenn all the time,” followed by a hearty laugh.

“Mumbai Love” will be in cinemas January 22.
