Thus said Xian Lim when asked why he and onscreen partner Kim Chiu chose to remain mum about the real status of their relationship.

“Given time, we won’t be selfish about it. Sasabihin naman namin yun, e. Pero this time, maybe it’s better to leave things unsaid muna,†the 24-year-old actor said.
Xian also said, “When the time comes, hindi namin ipagdadamot.â€
Kim received flak online after a media gathering recently, where she said, in a response to a question about the status of her relationship with Xian: “We don't owe you any of our personal lives siguro. You can think whatever you want to think as long as you're happy when you watch us on TV, nakikita ‘nyo kung paano kami ma-inlove, ganyan and 'yon na 'yon.â€
The star of the upcoming movie “Bride for Rent†said he does not get annoyed whenever he’s asked about Kim and their relationship.
“I remember last year, I was interviewed by tito Boy (Abunda). He asked me the same questions. And I answered the same answer. And what he told me is, I can’t blame everyone for wanting to know,†Xian shared. “Kasi nga, if they don’t want to know, matakot ka because it means they don’t care about it.â€
“Yun nga, we just want to keep things private for now. Just give us time,†he added.

The Kapamilya actor also defended Kim against those who criticized her for her statement, saying that they remain open even though they refuse to share certain parts of their lives to the public.
“We’re an open book, kumbaga. Parang lahat ng ginagawa namin, updated na nga lahat ng tao. That part, maybe it’s better to keep it a secret for now,†he said.
Xian further explained, “As long as we making you guys happy, I mean, all of our supporters happy. Marami naman pong nagmamahal d’yan, e. Sobra-sobra yung support na binibigay nila. So as long as they’re happy, we’re happy also.â€
