Are Chito Miranda and Neri Naig married?

MANILA, Philippines – Did they already tie the knot or were they merely fooling around?

Local netizens were abuzz when Parokya ni Edgar front man Chito Miranda referred to girlfriend Neri Naig as “Mrs. Miranda” in an Instagram photo posted Wednesday, December 25.

The caption of the Instagram photo reads: "Merry Christmas from Mr. & Mrs. Miranda."

This prompted followers and fans of the Parokya ni Edgar front man to believe Chito and Neri are already married.

“Married already? That's good,” commented one Instagram user. “Wow! Mr. & Mrs. !!!! ;) happy for you guys;)” said another comment.

Of course, as Chito didn’t provide any other detail aside from the said caption, it’s possible that the couple were merely being tongue-in-cheek.

In a previous interview with Philstar.com and other media outfits earlier this month, Chito revealed he and Neri are already planning about settling down.

“Yeah, ako ever since planado ko na 'yun. I hate talking about personal life on TV kasi it's corny when you talk about love life on TV because it's something to be discussed with personal people. When you're in a relationship, you always think that this would be it,” he said.

Chito figured in a sex video scandal with Neri earlier this year, although the two have said in media interviews that they have moved on from the issue.
