MANILA, Philippines - The countdown to the much-awaited outdoor, round-the-clock musical mardi gras billed Sonic Carnival: Feast of Sounds bringing together internationally-renowned electro-house dance musicians and club DJs, and the best local rock bands in one glorious event, is on.
The outdoor, round-the-clock music festival happening on Dec. 7 at the Block 22 SM Mall of Asia Open Grounds is presented by Fearless Productions.
Starting at 2 p.m., the festival that stumps all other musical events in the country, brings together the iconic names in the electro dance music scene — American electro house musician and Grammy-nominated record producer Steve Aoki and Filipino-Dutch DJ and producer Laidback Luke. Both artists, like Fearless Productions, have committed to donate part of their talent fees to the Philippine National Red Cross and their efforts to help the victims of Supertyphoon Yolanda.
Other performers include Razorback, Urbandub and Up Dharma Down, the best club DJs Deuce Manila, DJ Katsy Lee, DJ Mars Miranda, DJ Euric, DJ Ace Ramos, Martin Pulgar, MC Roda King and Funk Avy. Aoki and Laidback Luke will be joined by another world-renowned beat meister, DJ Hendrix at the helm of the music festival.
Sonic Carnival: Feast of Sounds will also feature the following performers: Brisom, Yolanda Moon, Pulso, Hidden Nikki and the Ringmates. It is a production of comebacking A-list producer Ronald Singson, the man behind Fearless Productions, which has staged huge foreign productions in the country — John Mayer, Usher and David Cook and David Archuleta — a few years ago.
