GRR on tattoo as art

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Some like it black or colored, some with romantic lyrics or biblical verses… name it our Filipino tattoo artists can do it and how!

This Saturday at 9 a.m. on GMA News TV, watch Gandang Ricky Reyes Todo Na Toh (GRR TNT) as it features the 13th Dutdutan (Tattoo) Festival 2013.

Find out the different reasons why people get tattooed as we join the GRR TNT crew and host Ricky Reyes visit various tattoo shops and interview Pinoy artists.

Speaking of arts, Reyes has a one-on-one interview with former Gwapings member Jao Mapa (discovered by the late Douglas Quijano). While fellow members Mark Anthony Fernandez, Jomari Yllana and Eric Fructuoso continued their acting career, Jao finished his Fine Arts course. He has done art exhibits displaying his paintings. “Jao still acts occasionally but most of his time is spent in his studio. You will find out the emotions and ideas behind every frame therein,” says Ricky.

We will, likewise, visit the biggest teen event Candy Fair 2013 open to all girls who like to sing, dance and celebrate with friends. For simple party dishes, Chef Mel Martinez demonstrates how to cook spring roll and broccoli soup in Cooking With Bunso. There will be testimonials from satisfied MX3 capsule, coffee and tea users.
