John Prats: Girlfriend Isabel Oli ready to settle down

Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – They’ve been an item for less than a year, but the public may already hear wedding bells for John Prats and Isabel Oli in the near future.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday, Oct. 8, John was asked how many years would it take for him and Isabel to get married.

In past interviews, the Kapamilya actor said he believes Isabel is “the one.”

To this, John answered: “Not really long. Not really long.”

The 29-year-old actor-host also revealed he’s already talking to Isabel about the possibility of tying the knot. This is why he knows the 31-year-old Kapuso actress is already ready to settle down.

“Siguro that’s what I want and what I like about her. Hindi siya katulad nung ibang artista na mas nag-fo-focus sa career. Maganda sa kanya, nakikita niya sarili niya as a housewife,” John explained.

What he likes about Isabel

John shared that Isabel is very simple and “down to earth” — qualities that he believes are “family-oriented.”

“Mas gusto niya mag-Jollibee kaysa mag-buffet. Ganun siyang klaseng tao. And I really appreciate that,” he said.

The “I Dare You” host added, “Very practical siya. Yun siguro yung very ideal for me, if ever I’m gonna get married with someone — to be someone na hindi high maintenance and very practical mag-isip.”

His relationship with Isabel made the actor-host feel contented and more focused. “Alam kong andyan siya to support me,” John said.

For his part, John helps Isabel be more positive. “Siguro yung naturo ko sa kanya, dapat laging positive lang. Lahat talaga may pagsubok, but after that malalampasan mo,” he said.

More focus

The Kapamilya actor-host spoke to the entertainment press to promote the second season of the reality show “I Dare You,” which will premiere Saturday, Oct. 12.

The show, which he co-hosts with Robi Domingo and Melai Cantiveros, will feature celebrities as they team up with ordinary citizens to accomplish inspiring, real-life tasks.

His time with “I Dare You” inspired John to focus on what he’d want to do as an artist next year.

“Kasi masyado akong kalat,” he said. “Ang dami kong ginagawa na wala talagang nag-mark sa akin.”

John added, “Kung hindi dancing ginagawa ko, comedy. Kaya if next year mabibigyan ako ng opportunity, I want to do hosting more. Hosting reality shows in particular.”
