Dance Fest 2013 goes to Bacolod

MANILA, Philippines - Visayas’ Dance Fest 2013 holds its grand finals in Iloilo, Bacolod and Cebu. The dance festival is presented by GMA Network in partnership with SM Supermalls.

The series of grand finals kicked off last Aug. 9 at the SM City Iloilo’s Event Center for the Iloilo leg. Mark Herras, Ryza Cenon, Sef Cadayona and Julian Trono participated in the event.

The school category included Kinaadman Dance Crew of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University; ODE of Wit of Western Institute of Technology; and K-Swag Generation of Mandurriao National High School. The open category had the showdown between C.N.C of Lapaz Iloilo City; Ground Zero of Iloilo City Proper; and Velocity X of Kalibo, Aklan.

Bacolod’s Dance Fest 2013 follows Aug. 16, 4 p.m. at the North Transport Hub of SM City Bacolod. Joining once again are Mark, Ryza, Sef and Julian to witness the battle between Hili-ugyon Dance Company of Hervias National High School; Choi Force Jr. of Domingo Lacson National High School; and Kadayaw Dance Troupe of Riverside College for the school category. Critical Breakdown, YC Rockz and Rockafellas will compete in the open category. Grand finalists for Dance Fest 2013 Cebu leg was determined yesterday.

Those who will groove their way through the eliminations are to be pitted against one another on Aug. 23 at 4 p.m. in Cebu. Mark will be joined by K-Pop group sensation Down To Mars this time.
