Randy Santiago defends brother Raymart against intrigues

MANILA, Philippines - Randy Santiago defended his brother Raymart Santiago against intrigues surrounding his reported separation from Claudine Barretto.

It can be remembered that Claudine posted a photo of her bruised face on Instagram a month ago, raising questions of whether the actress was physically abused.

But in an interview with ABS-CBN showbiz talk show “The Buzz” aired Sunday, July 29, Randy said he believes Raymart is not capable of hurting Claudine.

He said: “From my end, 'pag sinaktan niya si Claudine, kami kalaban niya. Ibang usapan iyan, 'di lang ang pamilya nila, kundi pamilya namin.”

“Laki-laki pa ng katawan ni Raymart, I don’t think he will do that,” Raymart said.

Randy said their family is encouraging Raymart to fix his problems with Claudine.

“Ang mahalaga, siyempre, 'wag na sila mag-away, kung ano man. Kung merong importanteng pag-usapan, alam naman natin meron tamang lugar kung saan nila pag-uusapan yun,” he shared. “On our part naman, as pamilya, siyempre hindi kami nakikialam.”

He added that Raymart is “very okay.” “Except for the kids, siyempre namimiss niya yun,” Randy said. “He’s coping and siyempre hindi rin maiiwasan, ilang taon niyang kasama si Claudine.”

Earlier today, Claudine filed a temporary protection order against Raymart at the Marikina at the Marikina Regional Trial Court.
