Yeng Constantino willing to settle down

Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Pop rock princess Yeng Constantino admits that if her boyfriend proposes to her, she is ready to give her sweet yes.

The Kapamilya artist even quipped, “Yung lola ko nga po, katorse nung nag-asawa!”

The boyfriend, her first, is worship leader Victor Asuncion. Of course, the actual proposal may come much later. But nonetheless, the Kapamilya artist is in cloud nine.

“Sobrang tapang niya. 'Pag sinabi niya, gagawin niya talaga. Meron siyang responsibility. Committed at alam mo na desidido,” she enthused. “Ang sarap makakita ng partner na trustworthy. Hindi siya shakable sa kahit anong situation.”

And in case they do settle down in the future, Yeng is confident the change in her status won’t affect her career as a musician.

“I don’t think makakasira siya sa career. Kasi, he’s helping me become a better performer and artist,” she said.

His first

The pop rock princess has been open about her willingness to wait for love prior to this relationship. With Victor now in her life, Yeng is glad she took her time. She is, the singer reaveled, Victor’s first boyfriend.

So nagdaan din ako sa pacrush-crush, textmate-texmate,” she shared.

The concert

Yeng, together with rocker and “The Voice of the Philippines” coach Bamboo Mañalac, are currently promoting their upcoming concert B/Y Request: Bamboo & Yeng at the Araneta Coliseum.

The 24-year-old singer admits that initially, there was pressure to perform in Araneta with Bamboo, but she later on decided to let the nervousness and fear go “para mas ma-excite ako.”

The idea for the concert spawned from their performance of the Eurythmics song “Here Comes the Rain Again” on the Sunday variety show “ASAP” last year.

“Pure and genuine yung makikita ninyo sa concert.

B/Y Request is set on August 17, at the Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.
