UE event for a cause

MANILA, Philippines - The second P.O. Domingo Cup, a golf tournament for a cause, will be held tomorrow, at the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City. Tee-off is set at 8 a.m.

Organized in honor of the late University of the East chairman and CEO Panfilo Obcena “P.O.” Domingo who loved sports, the golf tourney is intended to raise funds for scholarship programs to benefit underprivileged college students, and for sports and cultural development.

The late P.O.’s relatives, golf buddies, friends in the academe, banking, business and media sectors, and the UE alumni family, are expected to support the event.

Spearheading the event is UE marketing department executive director Jesus Tanchanco Sr., assisted by STAR business editor Roman Floresca, Business Mirror columnist Lito Gagni and Business Insight/Malaya sports editor Jimmy Cantor.
