MANILA, Philippines - “With the kind of musical talents we have in the PAGCOR 5, we decided that the best way to showcase their diverse singing styles would be through Broadway review where they can let their voices soar.†This is how Bong Quintana, AVP for Entertainment of PAGCOR describes the creative process behind the show PAGCOR 5 Goes Broadway, which will be shown the whole month of May in all the Casino Filipino branches nationwide.
The show will feature well-loved songs from some of Broadway productions. Songs like Don’t Cry For Me Argentina from Evita, I Dream the Dream from Les Miserables, Something’s Coming from the Westside Story and other songs from Disney’s musicals such as Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and Tarzan. Medley of all-time favorite songs from The Sound of Music and Mamma Mia will also be performed.
The members of PAGCOR 5 are Froilan Canlas, JOYCE, Dash Camporaso, Steve Fernandez and E-boy Quizol. They are all winners of the annual OPM@PAGCOR singing competition.
PAGCOR 5 Goes Broadway will be at CF Davao tonight; on May 18, CF Cebu; May 24, CF Pavilion; May 25, CF Olongapo; and May 29, CF Tagaytay.
All shows start at 9 p.m. Admission is free on a first come first served basis.
