MANILA, Philippines - SM City Baguio celebrates the Panagbenga Festival with pag- eantry, performances, food and of course, the most beautiful blooms. Also known as the Baguio Flower Festival, Panagbenga, which is a kankanaey term to mean “a season of blooming,†is a fitting tribute to the beautiful flowers the city is famous for.
Panagbenga has been held February each year since 1995, with floats abloom with flowers, much like Pasadena’s annual Rose Parade, plus street dancing with an ethnic touch, market encoun- ters and other activities. The Float Parade happens today in Baguio City’s major thoroughfares. The season of blooms is also a season of shopping! Enjoy great finds at SM City Baguio’s Panagbenga Spe- cials until tomorrow, Feb. 25.
Cars catch the flower fever with the Panagbenga Flower Power Car Exhibits at SM City Baguio’s main entrance and supermarket en- trance until March 3. The Bumper to Bumper Car Show, on the other hand, features Panagbenga-inspired car centerpieces. Held in partner- ship with the Department of Tour- ism, it will take place on March 2 at The Drive
