Potted Potter is back

SOUNDS FAMILIAR - Baby A. Gil - The Philippine Star

Potted Potter, The Unauthorized Harry Experience, A Parody by Dan and Jeff, performed by Jesse Briton and Gary Trainor, returns tonight to the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium at the RCBC Plaza in Makati for a limited nine-shows-only engagement. The outrageous play that condenses all seven Harry Potter books to just a little over an hour with hilarious results had such a great run out here last August that Lunchbox Theatrical Productions and Concertus Manila gave in to the market demand and arranged a repeat.

This is for all of you out there who ever loved the Harry Potter novels written by J.K. Rowling. I am sure you still recall how long was the wait for every book. You have read them all and you have seen the movies. Time now to have fun with your memories with Potted Potter. This is also for those who for their own reasons never liked Harry and his friends or enemies and often wondered what the fuss was all about. Here is your chance to get a good laugh out of them.

But pro-Potter or not you, will find it just amazing how the talented writing team of Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner got all those characters and events together in just one play. Even more amazing is how Briton and Trainor play all of those roles from boy wizard Harry to Ron, Hermione, Hagrid and even Dumbledore. They even get to play a real game of quidditch, battle a fire-breathing dragon and do lots of Hogwarts magic, while singing and being funny all the time. This is all laughter from start to finish.

Ticket prices are P3,068 and P936 and are available at Ticketworld, 891-9999.
