TV5 airs Go5! special tonight

MANILA, Philippines - Tonight at 9:30, expect a grand TV spectacle as TV5 airs Go5! The TV5 Special Event. The event was recently-held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila for network executives, advertisers and members of the media.

Go5! opened big with a dramatic number headlined by rocker and Kanta Pilipinas host Rico Blanco along with Arci Muñoz, Valeen Montenegro, Eula Caballero, Victor Silayan, Daniel Matsunaga, Malak So Shdifat, Gerard Sison, John James Uy, Ritz Azul and Kidlat star Derek Ramsay.

Viewers will also get to see performances from Arnell Ignacio, Tuesday Vargas, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Alex Gonzaga, Danita Paner, JC de Vera, Edgar Allan Guzman, Sophie Albert, Vin Abrenica, Talentadong Pinoy Hall of Famers, GAGA Dancers and Kanta Pilipinas finalists. The night’s presenters included NEWS 5 chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes, Paolo Bediones, AKTV ambassadors Phil and James Younghusband, AKTV Center host Benjie Paras, Aga Muhlach, Edu Manzano, Joey de Leon, Alice Dixson, Lucy Torres, Ryan Agoncillo, Marvin Agustin, Alex Gonzaga, Wendell Ramos, Gelli de Belen, Ruffa Gutierrez and Nora Aunor who shared why she is “Happy maging Kapatid.”

TV5 chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan (MVP) also gave a rousing speech on the network’s plans, citing how the Kapatid Network has grown significantly in the past three years. He also emphasized that TV5 is going beyond TV, as the network is the best equipped to develop different media platforms that touch the lives of more Filipinos.

Other guests who performed on Go5! include The CompanY, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, the Kilyawan Children’s Choir and the Manila Symphony Orchestra.
