Chef Sharwin Tee cooks with beer

MANILA, Philippines - Who needs a separate beer match when you can have your beer and eat it, too? With its distinct bitter, malty character, beer adds a wonderful flavor to many dishes. Chef Sharwin Tee will experiment on adding beer in different dishes. “Usually, I like my beer served cold on a warm day, in a place where I can let loose and chill over a few bottles,” said Chef Sharwin. But aside from savoring the liquid goodness of the cold bitter brew, he also enjoys it subtly infused in a hot meal. “I love cooking with beer,” he added.

Tonight at 9:30 in Curiosity Got the Chef, he will make Beer and Olive Bread for a light snack, Dynamite Beer Prawns for appetizer and Mussel and Beer Pasta for the main meal. Unlike beer, these intoxicatingly good dishes can be served to foodies of all ages.

Curiosity Got the Chef has encore telecasts on Saturday at 6 p.m., Sunday at 10 a.m. and Tuesday at 5 p.m. on Lifestyle Network aired on SkyCable channel 52.
