Golden Center marks 10th year

MANILA, Philippines - The Golden Center of Cebu, Inc. (GCCI) will celebrate its 10th founding anniversary with a two-day convention on “Healthy Aging & Its Issues” come Oct. 2 and 3 at the Grand Convention Center of Cebu.

Part of the celebration is the awarding of the Centenarian of the Year, a tribute to its founding members who started the ball rolling in 2002. There will be booth displays, freebies, giveaways and raffles. A thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated on Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. followed by the fellowship night.

GCCI is a non-stock, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life among the senior members of the community through that sense of belonging, that they may find life still meaningful, kind and functionally beautiful during their sunset years.
