Genuine heart talk in Personalan Ang Unang Hakbang

MANILA, Philippines - Conflicts — no matter how small or big — are better resolved peacefully.

GMA News TV’s weekday primetime talk show Personalan embraces this idea fully. And after airing its first episode almost a year ago, Personalan has successfully established itself as a program for people seeking to resolve their differences with an open mind and listening heart rather than a raging fist.

With hundreds of individuals already sharing their life stories and seeking guidance from the show’s resident life coaches — together with the thousands of viewers who have learned a valuable life lessons as well — Personalan now takes on a new step in reinforcing its thrust with the addition of new hosts Jean Garcia and Jolina Magdangal.

Initially, Jean and Jolina were tapped to alternately guest host for the program. Little did they know that they would both become passionate and innately interested in helping people resolve their issues. And another similarity shared by both hosts is that they are both often moved by their featured life stories.

In a particular episode, Jean — being a mother in real life — didn’t mind doing a role-play just to help make three daughters realize how nasty and cruel they are to their mother.

Jolina, meanwhile, couldn’t help but cry in an episode about a runway groom courageously came to the show to try and win his fiancé back. The episode became even more touching when the guy proposed again on national TV.

In addition to Jolina and Jean, also endearing Personalan to the viewers are its psychologists and life coaches Ali Gui, Sam Mendoza, Vangie Bautista and May Soriano who have consistently shown genuine sincerity and care to their subjects. For all of them, being part of Personalan is not merely work but a personal advocacy to help others.
