Henry Cavill is 'on the run'

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Henry Cavill has finally secured the lead role as the Man of Steel which started filming recently in time for a 2013 play date. But before donning the cape, Henry will first star in the suspense-thriller The Cold Light of Day as Wall Street trader Will Shaw alongside Hollywood action legend Bruce Willis who plays as Henry’s father Martin Shaw.

Will’s family is kidnapped while on a vacation in Spain.  In a race against time to rescue them, he puts the pieces of their disappearance together, uncovering a government conspiracy related to his father, a briefcase, and meeting a mysterious woman played by Sigourney Weaver. But when the family is kidnapped by what turns out to be intelligence agents hell-bent on recovering a mysterious suitcase, Will suddenly finds himself on the run. His whole world turns upside down when Martin reappears, revealing he is an undercover agent tangled in an inter-governmental web of lies and secrets.

During a clandestine rendezvous, Martin is killed by a sniper, and Will must find a way to get the rest of his family back alive. Armed with a gun, but no information, Will is alone in an unfamiliar city and is forced to piece together the puzzle of his missing family. Unwittingly embroiled in a government conspiracy, he has agents from all sides hot on his tail. An unrelenting chase across the streets of Madrid intensifies and Will is forced to question everything he has known to stay alive long enough to rescue his family… but is there anyone left he can trust? Only instinct will be his greatest weapon. Now showing in theaters, The Cold Light of Day is an adrenaline-fueled action thriller from director Mabrouk El Mechri.
