Kris Allen announces the release of his second album titled Thank You Camellia, the follow-up to his self-titled debut release in 2009 after winning the American Idol title. He co-wrote his lead single from Thank You Camellia titled The Vision of Love with Nasri and Adam Messinger.
The Vision of Love showcases Kris’ talent as a singer-songwriter. Kris has been integrally involved in the production aspect of the recording process. He is working with top-notch producers and co-writers including Tim Pagnotta (former lead singer of Sugarcult and producer of Animal by the Neon Trees); Curt Schneider (Augustana, Five for Fighting); Nasri and Adam, (Chris Brown/Justin Bieber); Kevin Kadish (Jason Mraz, Rob Thomas); Boots Ottestad (Andy Grammar, Robbie Williams), among others. Since skyrocketing to stardom as the winner of the 2009 season of American Idol, Kris has enjoyed five singles on the Billboard charts. Since the release of his album, he has toured with Keith Urban, Maroon 5, Barenaked Ladies, Lifehouse as well as headlining his own club tours.
David Archuleta’s Forevermore, on the other hand, is a collection of all original Filipino classic love songs written in English and composed by some of the Philippines’ renowned songwriters like Ogie Alcasid, Louie Ocampo, Jay Durias, Jimmy Antiporda, Cecil Azarcon, among others. The collection showcases some of the best love songs, the country has produced. The songs will definitely invoke feelings of love and hope in every listener. Forevermore and Hold On (both by Side A), You Are My Song (Martin Nievera), I’ll Never Go (Nexxus), Tell Me (Joey Albert), Reaching Out (Gary Valenciano) and Rainbow (South Border) are some of the songs included in the album. The album pays tribute to not only OPM (Original Pilipino Music) but also to his countless fans who have been loyal throughout his career. The album is a gift and labor of love to his devoted fans. David wants his fans to know that he loves and appreciates them wherever he may go, Forevermore.
Stronger is the fifth album from the first-ever American Idol Kelly Clarkson. The vibrant, musically diverse Stronger (which Kelly says was influenced by Tina Turner, Prince, Sheryl Crow and Radiohead) will thrill those who love Clarkson for her resilience. Kelly co-wrote five tracks on Stronger, a process she feels therapeutic and the first single off the new album is Mr. Know It All. She has sold over 20 million albums worldwide (including 10 million in the US) and notching seven singles in the Top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 chart. Kelly is the recipient of two Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, two MTV Awards and 11 Billboard Awards. Kelly’s last effort, 2009’s All I Ever Wanted, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Top 200 and produced the smash singles My Life Would Suck Without You and Already Gone.
David Cook’s sophomore album, This Loud Morning, is produced by Matt Serietic (Rob Thomas, Matchbox Twenty, Collective Soul). It features tracks written and co-written by David along with acclaimed songwriters including David Hodges, Ryan Tedder, Kevin Griffin and Marti Frederiksen. David says, “This album is the culmination of one of the loftiest endeavors I’ve ever undertaken. The end result is an album that I cannot wait to share with everyone.” After winning the Idol crown in season 7, David went on to sell over 1 million copies of his self-titled debut album and set out on a year-long nationwide tour in support of his multiple hit singles. Released on Nov. 18, 2008, David Cook (19 Recordings/RCA Records) entered the Billboard charts at No. 3 and the digital album charts at No. 1, marking the best debut from an American Idol winner since 2006. Collectively the songs from David have sold over two million tracks and ringtones combined. David’s coronation single, The Time of My Life was certified platinum and is not only the biggest single debut but the highest selling coronation single in the show’s history.
Break The Spell is a showcase for frontman Chris Daughtry’s powerful, emotionally resonant voice and knack for relentless melodic hooks and big, anthemic choruses. Produced by Howard Benzon who produced Daughtry’s two previous albums, Break The Spell gives the band room to evolve musically while aiming to satisfy its many long-time fans. “Going into the writing sessions, we said, ‘Let’s not try to sound like anything. Let’s just write, and see what happens,’” says Chris, who co-wrote every song.
