Jack, Adam & Mel in Jay Leno's show

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Jack Black is a busy man this week. So, make sure you give room for his rock solid brand of comedy. The School of Rock star will visit The Tonight Show with Jay Leno today to talk about the release of Tenacious D’s third album Rize of the Fenix. He will also discuss the challenging role he took in the Richard Linklater film Bernie.

He plays the role of the lead actor in the dark drama about a Texas funeral director who murdered a wealthy widow. Jack will share with Jay his prison trip to visit the real Bernie. Also The Meatball Shop co-owners Michael Chernow and Daniwl Holzman discuss with Jay the success of their Lower East Side restaurant which just opened in February. The two first worked as delivery boys when they were still 14, now dish out more than 2,000 of their signature balls per day. Will they bring Jay some meatballs?

Tomorrow, April 26, American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy recently squealed that Adam Levine will be part of the second season of the creepy series. Well, before the Maroon 5 frontman tapes some episodes, he’ll first guest in Tonight Show. Just how excited Adam is on filming the new season? Jay will know first hand. Also watch out if Adam reacts to the comment made by Jennifer Love Hewitt in her guesting in Ellen claiming she could definitely be ready to mingle with The Voice judge who recently broke up with his model-girlfriend. Then, Ziggy Marley talks about producing a documentary for his father Bob. Before his Leno guesting, it is expected that the documentary has already been aired in theaters and streamed on demand through his father’s Facebook page. So, expect Ziggy’s reaction on the reception of the reggae and the entire One Love community.

The April 27 episode sees Diane Keaton who is known for her roles in films such as Annie Hall and Something’s Gotta Give. She will share another side of her as she promotes a Spanish-architecture book she co-authored, California Romantica. The 66-year-old veteran actress is expected to share with Jay her other passion aside from acting — that is architecture. Diane will also hype up Darling Companion, her new film about a woman who finds love, devotion, the courage she needs in a bloodied stray dog. One of America’s most bemedalled female swimmers in history, Natalie Coughlin, swims her way through the Leno set to discuss the pressure of the upcoming Olympics and what’s life like preparing for the games.

On April 28, The Passion of the Christ director and producer Mel Gibson tries to clear up his name in the allegations being thrown at him by writer Joe Eszterhas. Allegedly, the filmmaker made some anti-Semitic comments during their collaboration on a script about Jewish warrior Judah Maccabee, which Eszterhas only aired after Warner Bros rejected the writer’s script. A letter from Gibson to Eszterhas said the script was “substandard” and said all of the allegations against him are “utter fabrications.” The war of words between the two hopefully comes to an end soon, and hopefully Jay puts it to its end on the Saturday episode. British-Irish boy band, The Wanted, serenades televiewers with its latest single, Chasing The Sun.

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno airs Tuesdays to Saturdays at 1 p.m. via Satellite with same day replays at 12 midnight on TALKtv.
