Who is James Ocampo?

MANILA, Philippines - John Medina was recently the talk-of-the-town of netizens as his character James Ocampo on ABS-CBN’s top-rating primetime drama Walang Hanggan made it to the Twitter trending topics list in the Philippines.

The actor’s role trended last Tuesday night when James defeated Tomas (Joem Bascon) in a poker match where he won millions plus the land title of Hacienda Alcantara. “James Ocampo” remained a hot topic on Twitter until morning of Wednesday. Apart from admiring his good looks, several tweets were comments that said Medina is the latest “crush ng bayan” and the “new Papa Chen (Richard Yap in My Binondo Girl).” Interestingly, John was Coco Martin’s body double in the series Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.

Will James continue to win the hearts of the viewers especially now that his bosses Emily (Dawn Zulueta) and Daniel (Coco) are all set to declare war against the Montenegros? Will he play a major role in firing up the romance between ex-lovers Emily and Marco (Richard Gomez) and Daniel and Katerina (Julia Montes)?
