MANILA, Philippines - A few issues ago, Funfare Update announced that Christian Bautista (above) and Sarah Geronimo (right) were performing at the Du World Music Festival in Dubai.

Sarah Geronimo and Christian Bautista topbilled the Philippine show at Du World Music Festival last March 10 at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai. Sarah and Christian, according to the Sundance event organizers of Dubai, topped the survey as the most popular singers in the country.
Christian and Sarah performed for their fans that included Filipinos, Indonesians and other nationalities.
Christian’s set included his biggest hits and latest singles and some current hits: In Love With You (which he performed with Angeline Quinto’s video), Love Moves in Mysterious Ways, Beautiful Girl, Beautiful To Me, All That’s Left, I’m Already King, Faith, Moves Like Jagger, Just The Way You Are and Tonight I’m Loving You, among others.
Sarah sang End Of Time, Last Dance, Super Bass, Forever’s Not Enough, Won’t Last A Day Without You, Someone Like You, Only Girl, Fireworks and The Prayer. She was joined by G-Force, Jimmy Marquez and Mark Bautista, who performed Bakit and a duet with Sarah of Ikaw Ang Aking Pangarap/Ikaw.
This year’s festival featured different types of music from around the world — Jazz, Latin, Arabic, Filipino, Sub-Continental and African. Other participants performing were: George Benson (USA), Gabrielle (U.K.) Salif Keita (Africa), Assi Hilani (Lebanon), Abdullah Al Rowaished (Kuwait), Burj Steps, The Guardian/Trilok Gurtu (Dubai), Omar Khairat (Egypt), Sonu Nigam with the Absolute Indian Ensamble (India) and Mansour Zayed (UAE).
