Wednesdays are more fun on 2nd Avenue from March 14

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - This month, 2nd Avenue delivers back-to-back laughs with two brand-new sitcoms, Up All Night and Whitney. Topbilled by comedians Christina Applegate, Maya Rudolph and Whitney Cummings, get ready to laugh out loud with these funny ladies as they get up to all sorts of antics while dealing with motherhood and affairs of the heart.

Premiering tomorrow, March 14 at 9 p.m., Up All Night tells the story of Reagan Brinkley (Christina), a loving wife, a successful career woman, a frequent partygoer and a new mom. As a modern woman, she believes that she doesn’t need to compromise her career or hip reputation for motherhood. Helping her achieve this is her supportive husband Chris (Will Arnett), a stay-at-home dad who together with Reagan will try to figure out parenthood while suffering many sleepless nights. If that is not enough, at work her ambitious but vulnerable boss talk-show host Ava (Maya) is not giving her an easy time. Tune in to find out if Reagan can figure out a balance between both worlds without losing herself in the craziness.

Following after is Whitney, a show that takes a hilarious look at modern-day couples. Centered around the relationship of Whitney (Whitney) and Alex (Chris D’Elia), a happily unmarried couple. The two have been together for three years and have no plans of getting hitched any time soon. The set-up gets a mixed response from their friends who each have their own opinion on the complicated topic of love. Afraid that they will fall into “relationship boredom,” Whitney looks for various ways to keep the flames of love alive. Whitney also premieres tomorrow night at 9:30.
