Raymond Gutierrez minus 40 lbs.

MANILA, Philippines - Raymond Gutierrez must be feeling new these days now that he is back to his old self. He has lost seven inches around his waist area and is 30 to 40 lbs. lighter. By summer, Raymond is ready to bask in the sun with his slimmer self.

“I feel like I have my old self back,” says Raymond on his gradual weight loss courtesy of Belo’s Sexy Solutions before print and TV media. “That’s the best birthday gift I got this year. It’s different when you’re thin. When you feel healthier and when you feel fit, life becomes easier and lighter.”

It took Raymond three months to shed those stubborn fats; his eagerness to live and look healthy did seal the deal.

“Three months is pretty fast,” he shares. “My friends and my family are shocked that I have become slimmer. I think I was focused and determined. Aside from (the help of) Sexy Solutions, I have to balance it with diet and workout. (But) the perfect aid and partner is Sexy Solutions.”

Raymond shares that the Belo Medical team focused first on the mid-section that was the hardest to slim down. He tried three non-invasive machines similar to a flat iron to remove fats, tighten the skin and tone the muscles.

“I just lie down,” says Raymond. “There’s a therapist who helps me. After an hour and a half, you can see the difference and (the staff) measure you. I lost two inches on my first day. Based on the clothes and measurements, I lost seven inches off my mid-section and around 30 to 40 lbs.”

Although he was allowed to have a cheat day, Raymond decided to avoid comfort food at the beginning. It is a small price Raymond has to pay for the prize of a healthy life. 

“I’m definitely happy with the results so far,” he says. “Pero hindi pa dito nagtatapos. I want to continue and maintain (my weight) which is the hardest part. I want to lose a little bit more, exercise more and go to Sexy Solutions a little bit more so that I’ll be more confident come summer. (Having a beach body) is everyone’s wish that when it’s summertime, you have the confidence to go out there and you won’t be shy. Before when I would go to the beach, I would hide in my room and go out when it was already happy hour. For the first time this year, I’ll actually get to enjoy the sun.”

With a matinee idol look and stance, would Raymond consider acting on TV and in film?

“My mom keeps pushing me to try acting,” he answers. “But as of now, I’m focused on my being a host and also on my creative work behind the scenes. I already have a full plate. My work schedule is hectic. I maybe do acting in the future but not now.”

Raymond quickly adds that he can’t stand the long hours of taping a show or shooting a movie. If ever he changes his mind, Raymond can work with his twin brother Richard in a drama or comedy series. Then, televiewers can indeed see double on the small screen.
