Kinse is Jericho's tribute to his fans

Chuck Gomez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Jericho Rosales celebrates his 15th anniversary in showbiz on Dec. 23 via a grand, major and free concert that happens at the Riverbanks Amphitheater in Marikina City. Aptly dubbed as Kinse (Labing-limang Taon ni Jericho Rosales), this spectacular event aims to account Jericho’s breathtaking and awe-inspiring career, which dates back to 1996 when he broke into the business as an aspiring young artist ready to embark on what would be one of the most life-altering journeys and adventures of his life.

Kinse is Echo’s way of paying homage to his fans for the solid, unwavering and steadfast support that they have given him for the past 15 years. “The Lord has blessed me with so much and there are so many things for me to be thankful for,” says Jericho. “I am given the gift to touch the lives of so many people and make a positive difference in their lives. I will not be where I am today without the support and love of my fans.”

For Echo, Marikina City is the perfect venue for Kinse since it is the place where he started to envision his dreams which eventually became actual realities as a result of his determination, hardwork and faith. “Marikina is very special to me. I have wonderful, unforgettable memories there growing up. I feel like the concert is sort of a homecoming for me.”

Indeed, since his Mr. Pogi days on Eat Bulaga! some 15 years ago, the young Jericho has truly come a long way. With a string of consistent award-winning films, top-rating teleseryes, numerous brand and product endorsements and a thriving musical career to his credit, Jericho has never forgotten to look back to his roots where his foundation both as an artist and as a person was built on. “Through the years, I have learned a lot of good values. As a young man growing up in Marikina, I learned to appreciate hard work, integrity, and commitment. And I have my team, close friends, and family constantly reminding and inspiring me to remain thankful and humble.”

Today, Echo is currently part of the ensemble cast of Yesterday, Today Tomorrow, Regal Films’ entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival directed by Jun Lana. Fans and film buffs can look forward to seeing more of Echo in the silver screen as he renewed his contract with ABS-CBN, which includes a three-picture deal with Star Cinema. Echo is also officially a “Regal Baby” because he also signed a deal to star in three upcoming films under Regal Films. Critics and fans are also buzzing about Alagwa, his first venture in the indie circuit as a producer.

On TV, Echo is set to appear on the much-waited soap on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida block, Padre de Pamilia under the direction of Darnel Joy Villaflor. His groundbreaking reality series I Dare You will return for a second season in 2012 and he continues to showcase his formidable hosting, dancing and singing prowess on the weekly noontime variety show ASAP Rocks.

As one of the country’s top celebrity endorsers, Echo renewed his ties with Vaseline, Advil, Jericho Cologne for Natasha, and Walker while adding Smart and Vantage Razors to his list of endorsements.

Kinse is a musical narrative concert that chronicles notable highlights in Jericho’s life and career which are considered by many as both inspirational and aspirational. Fans can look forward to an unforgettable evening of beautiful music with Echo as he performs his hit songs culled from his Platinum full-length CD Change under Star Records including Pusong Ligaw and Bumuhos Man Ang Ulan. Echo will also perform selected tracks from his next album for the very first time.

Joining him are Gabriel Valenciano, Lovi Poe, Salamin, Gary Valenciano and other surprise guests.
