Mario Maurer back Dec. 13

MANILA, Philippines - Thai popstar Mario Maurer, shown here as endorser of Penshoppe’s new campaign for the holidays, is set to return to Manila on Dec. 13 to do a one-night appearance for those who were not able to see him during his debut at the recent Philippine Fashion Week.

Says Penshoppe brand director Alex Mendoza: ‘Invasion was such a huge success that due to public demand we decided to bring back Mario as a Christmas treat to loyal Penshoppe fans.’

During his first visit, Mario signed a one-movie deal with Star Cinema for the 2012 romantic comedy Suddenly It’s Magic with Erich Gonzales as his leading lady. Filming will start in April 2012 in the Philippines and Bangkok. He is expected to be back in January to shoot special episode for Maalaala Mo Kaya on ABS-CBN.

Mendoza adds, ‘Mario’s first campaign for Penshoppe will show a swoon-worthy, adorable boy next door. We adjusted his image to fit the Philippine market as we feel Mario looks best when he is portrayed as an approachable, sweet and gorgeous guy that you can't wait to make yours.’

Since introducing Mario last August, Penshoppe has now reached the highest number of likes and following among all local fashion brands both on Twitter and Facebook.
