MANILA, Philippines - The Filipino hairdressers who left with Ricky Reyes last Nov. 7 to compete in the 15th Asia Pacific Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association (APHCA) event held at the Venetian Hotel and Convention Center in Macau are proud because they brought home the bacon.

Participated in by Hong Kong, China, Taipei, Sri Lanka, Australia, Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Macau, Indonesia and the Philippines, the annual event aims to stimulate cooperation and development of salon industry players and develop the hairstyle and cosmetology industries.
The Hon. Philippine Consul General to Macau Renato Villapando graced the affair and tendered a dinner for the winners Federico Ilagan (runner-up in the bridal make-up category); Christopher Peñaflor and Giovanni Luage (honorable mentions-bridal make-up); Ester Garcia (evening hairstyle honorable mention); Diosdado Paule, Ronald Tuanio and Racquel Pangilagan (evening party make-up honorable mention); Geronimo Rovedillo (ladies hair cut and blow dry honorable mention); Nitz Clidoro (men’s haircut honorable mention); and Vicente Jayson Hisola (creative color honorable mention).
Ricky adds another feather to his cap as the APHCA, in which he is founder and president, held another successful Hair and Make-Up Olympics.
