Noli Me Tangere goes opera

MANILA, Philippines - Dulaang up (DUP) presents Noli Me Tangere: The Opera by National Artist Felipe Padilla de Leon with libretto by National Artist Guillermo Tolentino.

The opera is directed by DUP artistic director Alexander Cortez (Cayabyab/Asensio’s spoliarium, Lumbera/Letaba’s Hibik at Himagsik Nina Victoria Lactao, Quintos/De Guzman’s Atang: A Play With Music, Quintos/Africa’s St. Louis Loves Dem Filipinos: The Musical) in collaboration with Camille Lopez Molina who is in-charge of vocal coaching and musical supervision.

Noli Me Tangere: The Opera runs from Nov. 16 to Dec. 4, (Wednesday to Friday at 7 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.) at the Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theater, Palma Hall, University of the Philippines Diliman.
