Kim remains Primetime Princess

MANILA, Philippines - Kim Chiu remains to be the country’s primetime princess as her newest ABS-CBN teleserye My Binondo Girl instantly scored a national TV rating of 29.6 percent during its premiere telecast last Aug. 22 beating GMA’s Munting Heredera which rated only 22.3 percent, according to data from Kantar Media.

Even before My Binondo Girl started airing on TV, it had trended on Twitter the week before its airing along with ABS-CBN’s other series Maria La del Bario and the recently concluded Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.

The whole nation is starting to be captivated by the Jade-Onyx tandem who was portrayed as kids by Mutya Orquia and Izzy Canillo as young Onyx to Kim and newest leading man, Jolo Revilla whose chemistry is simply astounding.

Despite dedicating everything to daughter Jade, Zheny (Ai-Ai delas Alas), fails to erase the longing her daughter feels for her Chinese father, Chen Sy (Richard Yap) who only recognizes one child, his first-born son, Yuan.

Jade will continue to grip the hearts of many as she struggles to earn her Chinese father’s affection and acceptance even if it means disguising as her long gone brother, Yuan.

Don’t miss the arrival of two more boys who would complicate Jade’s life further, Trevor Wu (Matteo Guidicelli) who would fall in love with Jade at first sight and Andy Wu (Xian Lim) who would become Yuan’s rival in managing ChenJean chain of restaurants.

My Binondo Girl airs weeknights after 100 Days to Heaven.
