-

Over 700,000 views on YouTube. Shared 250,000 times on Facebook. And ranked top 2 on the Viral Video Chart's Interbrand 100.

The launch of Pepsi Pinas, a limited edition cola by Pepsi, has quickly gained the attention of netizens.

A parody of classic 80s Pinoy action films, the commercial brings back classic eye patched villains, heroic one-liners and denim jacketed goons.

Featuring Patola Forces SPOG1 Alvarez going head to head with Berdugo ng Barangay Sanggano, Boy Balbon in a battle for Pinas.

It is integrated online with the characters brought to life on Facebook to engage with consumers.

Their allies, the Barangay Sanggano Goons, Mrs. Balbon and Bhaby Dals (Alvarez's girlfriend) also participate in bringing the battle to life in the digital world.

To keep up the excitement, the brand has started "Isang Posing Ka Lang" a promo which asks consumers to star in their own action poster.

Consumers are asked to upload their own photos posing as an action star or an evil villain with a bottle of Pepsi Pinas and a veggie weapon.

The brand promises an "Action packed Action pak!" to the best photo submission. A prize that includes a 32" LCD TV and a DVD Sine Pak! collection.

Sine Paks are compilations of Boy Balbon and Alvarez's favorite films specially entitled "The Sikret Hideout Collection" and "Sineng Idol ni Idol".

To join the promo, go to Sarap Magbago on Facebook and click on the Pinas Promo tab.

Pepsi Pinas is now showing in 7-eleven, groceries and Manang's Tindahan.
