Why Octoboy sizzles at night

Manila, Philippines - If there’s a restaurant in the Scout area in Quezon City that draws in celebrities on a regular basis, it is Octoboy Restobar at the corner of Tomas Morato Ave. and Scout de Guia.

Octoboy is located at the second floor of Cheesecake Factory where its al fresco porch affords its patrons a vista of the popular restaurant strip’s nightlife above the din of daily traffic.

Inside in air-conditioned comfort, diners are treated to the experiential delight of witnessing how the world famous Osaka Takoyaki balls and Okonomiyaki sizzling Japanese Pizzas are prepared.

“Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador are the most regular customers of Octoboy,” said Giovanni Cheng, owner of Octoboy, Octoboy Express, and Perfect Spot, who is often mistaken as a celebrity himself because of his good looks.

Kim and Maja drop by anytime they crave for Octoboy’s delectable Japanese dish. Hours are even extended when they arrive at closing time from shooting or taping the whole day.

Regular habitués include Hayden Kho, Matteo Guidicelli, Carlo Aquino, Jennica Garcia, Jon Avila, Rochelle Pangilinan, Yeng Constantino, and couple Romnick and Harlene Sarmenta.

Filipinos, who are hero and celebrity worshippers by nature, are naturally drawn to Octoboy’s Tinseltown ambiance. But ordinary mortals like us do not have to worry about feeling out of place because at Octoboy. Everyone is treated like a star.
