DZMM launches SilveRadyo station ID

MANILA, Philippines - For its 25th anniversary, DZMM launches its SilveRadyo station ID, highlighting the story and achievements of the No. 1 AM radio station in Mega Manila and the country’s leading cable news channel.

Shot at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the video features Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto performing the DZMM SilveRadyo jingle.

Joining them are UP Concert Chorus, and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) under the musical direction of maestro Olivier Ochanine.

DZMM will unveil the grand production directed by Paolo Ramos today on DZMM TeleRadyo right after the ABS-CBN Flag Ceremony.

The jingle, composed by TV and film scorer Jesse Lasaten with lyrics by Miam Anaten of the ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management, speaks of how DZMM’s commitment to give only the best to the Filipino people continues to grow through the years. That is why for its 25th year station ID, DZMM is holding nothing back by getting only the best of the best in the Philippine music industry.

Erik and Angeline felt privileged to have been invited to sing the DZMM theme and share the stage with the UP Concert Chorus and the PPO.

“This is really a big project that any singer would want to be part of. I grew up listening to DZMM and as a music fan, I have dreamt of performing with UPCC and PPO,” Erik said.

Since its establishment in the post-Martial Law era, DZMM instantly became a bastion of freedom and eventually, the home of many of the bravest and most respected radio broadcasters.

DZMM’s groundbreaking efforts have also served as template to other media outfits in the Philippines. It pioneered the simulcast of radio programs on television with DZMM TeleRadyo. Its 24/7 audio streaming via dzmm.com.ph is also praised for keeping Filipinos here and abroad updated on the latest and most important news events and announcements.

But what gives the station even greater edge is its unparalleled track record of service with countless medical missions, seminars, business and livelihood workshops, mass christenings, disaster assistance, and rescue efforts. It is also behind the multi-awarded Kapamilya, Shower Na mobile shower, the DZMM TLC (Teaching Learning Caring) classroom-on-wheels and clinic-on-wheels project, the fun run for a cause Takbo Para sa Kalikasan and the roving concert for Filipinos abroad, the DZMM World Caravan.

ABS-CBN Manila Radio Division head Peter Musngi said he hopes the people will be inspired by DZMM’s story and commitment, as told in the new station jingle.

“Ours is a story of service, of striving to be No. 1 only because we want to give the best to the Filipino people. Whether it’s bringing them outstanding and extensive news coverage of the nation’s biggest issues or ensuring the well-being of Filipinos here and abroad, DZMM has done it and exceeded expectations in the past 25 years. In everything we do, we always have the people in mind and heart,” he said.

ABS-CBN will also launch its new Lupang Hinirang video and the Bida Bayani campaign of its multi-awarded citizen journalism movement Bayan Mo, iPatrol Mo at the flag ceremony.
