Dance Exchange at SM MOA

MANILA, Philippines - In celebration of the recent National Dance Week, the National Commission of Culture and the Arts recently held a Dance Exchange showcasing some of the best international and Philippine dance groups at the SM Mall of Asia Atrium.

The cultural event highlighted how dance can bring about understanding among countries and featured around 150 performers, who wowed the audience with their amazing grace in both traditional and modern dance.

The Brunei Performing Arts Troupe, the Allan Becky Dance Group from Hong Kong, the Bangkok Dance Academy from Thailand, the Vietnam National Dance College, and the Big Dance Company from England were among the international groups brought to Manila by the The National Dance committee of the NCCA.

Eight dance groups from the Philippines, on the other hand, showed the Filipino’s natural grace and creativity. Representing key cities around the Philippines, these included the Saint Louis Dance Troupe from Baguio, the Lahing Batangan Dance Troupe from Batangas, the Divina Gracia Sartorio School of Performing Arts from Iloilo, the Father Saturnino University Dance Company from Butuan City, Double J from Bacolod City, the MEV Dance Studio from Negros Oriental, the Noel Garovillo Dance Company from Koronadal, South Cotobato, and the Zamboanga del Sur National High School Melegas Dance Ensemble from Pagadian City.

The NCCA’s Dance Exchange is one of the many exciting events at the SM Mall of Asia.
