Are they or aren’t they? Celebrity stylist Liz Uy is mum on the rumors that she is dating director Lino Cayetano. Some allegedly have seen the couple on a date. Liz is keeping her no comment stance. When her name first swept showbiz circles as the new girl of John Lloyd Cruz, nobody heard from her. When media wrote about her as the new girl of P-Noy, Liz just smiled. And with Lino’s name tagged along hers, Liz is still serenely quiet. With Valentine’s Day just around the bend, Liz asserts she will still spend the day as an important occasion with friends. She has her good friends to celebrate the day with. As for her Valentine wish for Lino, Liz said, “World peace. That’s my wish for now.”
By the way, it was her BFF Kris Aquino who twitted that Liz is dating a new guy. Liz is not saying anything. And we respect that.
Anne not suing the airline company
Anne Curtis is not suing the airline company where she lost her amethyst ring on her flight back home. When she embarked from the plane she noticed that she had left her carry on bag inside the plane.
“They did their part. Their country manager apologized to me. The only reason I would sue them is, if they did not take action,” she explained. Anne appreciates the country manager’s efforts to reach out and apologize to her. “He’s not in the country but he said that they are terribly sorry.”
Airline management will replace the value of the ring, she added. “They are willing to compensate the loss.” The ring worth $600, which she bought in Hong Kong, was a birthday gift for herself. Anne will be working on a comedy movie with Luis Manzano billed Who’s that Girl.
Major, major asset to UKG
Venus Raj denies she has something to do with Rica Peralejo’s and other hosts’ departure from ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda (UKG). Venus is now one of the hosts of the top rating morning show.
“Rica also wants to focus on her studies. Others want to concentrate on news. ‘Yong iba mag-co-concentrate sa projects, kung anumang meron sila. Hindi naman po ako ang naging dahilan,” she explained. Rica left the show last week.
In UKG, Venus will deliver the latest and hottest showbiz news. She will also host her own segment Barangay Bida every Friday. Iya Villania will also join UKG.
Is Venus really fit for the job? “I won’t accept the project if I can’t do it. I accepted it because I know I can do the job,” she added.
There is no doubt that Venus will be a major, major asset to UKG.
Rima on her first acting job
Rima Ostwani will have her first acting job via the new ABS-CBN series, Agimat Series: Kapitan Inggo topbilled by Jolo Revilla. “It was really a leap of faith because it was something that I thought hindi ko po kaya. It’s not easy, mahirap po siya. It needs a lot of strength, confidence and I was really nervous,” she explained.
Initially Rima wanted to do hosting. But she took the opportunity when the program was offered to her. She went through a series of workshops together with the cast of Kapitan Inggo. She is also working on her Tagalog. Rima’s father is a Syrian while her mother is of Spanish-German descent. Rima hopes people will support her. “I promise to give my best.”
Rima is working hard that she will be known, mainly for her talents, not as Diether Ocampo’s the former girlfriend.
