Must-have albums from MCA

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines –  Bon Jovi, Take That, Nelly Furtado and Duffy, icons in the history of rock, are featured in MCA Music’s four must-have albums.

Marking a huge comeback, Bon Jovi is its new album titled Greatest Hits — The Ultimate Collection. The career-spanning anthology of the band’s music from the ‘80s, ‘90s and 2000s is pretty much what they says it is, featuring the real and essential hits from the group.

The album is a 30-song two disc edition made up of the bands biggest chart-toppers including Livin’ On A Prayer, Always, It’s My Life, Wanted Dead or Alive and Who Says You Can’t Go Home. It also contains beloved and classic fan favorites including Bed of Roses, Blood on Blood, These Days and Keep The Faith. In addition to their classic big hits are four new songs The More Things Change, No Apologies, This Is Love, This Is Life and the first hit single, What Do You Got? which were written specifically for inclusion in this compilation.

If you want further music progress, Take That is what you should have. It releases a new album titled Progress - its sixth studio album and the first to feature Robbie Williams since 1995. The album shows of how the band has progressed from straight-up ballads to fuller and layered songs.

The reunion of reunions took place in New York last September, following Take That’s record-breaking The Circus Live tour. Shortly afterwards all five of the original Take That began writing and recording the six songs which set the foundation for this Stuart Price-produced album.

Get the best of latest Canadian Walk of Fame inductee Nelly Furtado with the release of her greatest hits compilation album The Best of Nelly Furtado. Her eclectic beginnings and subsequent crossover into mainstream American pop and Latin music spawned adoration of million fans.

Night Is Young, the album’s first single, was co-produced by Salaam Remi (Nas, The Fugees, Amy Winehouse) and Staybent Krunk-A-Delic, and co-written by Nelly. Producer Remi and Furtado also co-wrote Girlfriend while Stars was produced by Lester Mendez who co-wrote the track with Furtado.

Have an endlessly satisfying musical journey with Duffy. She is back with her second album, Endlessly. It showcases 10 songs that are more up-tempo and dance floor-friendly than anything the 26-year-old from Wales’ Llyn Peninsula has done before, as well as stripped-back, acoustic-led numbers that feature Duffy at her most philosophical.

Infectious lead single Well, Well, Well is the first taste from the heady confection, and features an incomparable rhythm section played by hip-hop band The Roots. Endlessly begins with the catchy soul-disco track My Boy and is followed by the heartbreaking, Too Hurt To Dance. A Duffy personal favorite is Don’t Forsake Me, a song filled with emotion and longing.
