TVC brings back joys of Pinoy Christmas

MANILA, Philippines - There are many things that make the Filipino celebration of Christmas unique.

A classic example is Christmas caroling. While borrowed from the west, we have put our own stamp on it as evidenced by Pinoy Christmas songs and the use of ingenious, homemade musical instruments.

Traditions like these are what Purefoods Hormel Company, Inc. wants to highlight in the TV commercial for Purefoods Fiesta Ham.

In the TVC, a family is about to enjoy their Noche Buena when a group of children starts singing carols outside their home. As the mother slices portions of Purefoods Fiesta Ham, the singing outside becomes merrier, grander.

“Christmas is all about family and family traditions and we wanted to highlight that for this campaign,” said product manager Gilbert Bautista. “With all the activ-ity and bustle inherent to the season, we wanted to remind everyone of the simple things that make our Christmases truly special,” he added.

Launched in the ’80s, the brand itself has become an integral part of the Pinoy Christmas. Made from choicest parts and pure premium meat that is sugar glazed to perfection, it has a delectable flavor suited to the unique Filipino palate.
