Shadows Fall at Music Museum Oct. 6

MANILA, Philippines - Heavy metal fans are in for another great show brought to them by international Grammy-nominated act Shadows Fall. The band who already did two successful shows in March 2007 and April 2009, will be visiting Manila for the third time as it launches its CD plus DVD Shadows Fall’s Madness in Manila: Live in the Philippines at the Music Museum, Greenhills Commercial Complex, San Juan City on Oct. 6.

Madness in Manila is a live concert DVD filmed last 2009 at the Amoranto Theater during Shadows Fall’s set at the Pulp Summer Slam 9 Countdown to Extinction. The show featured the international band during the almost two-hour set, plus some pyrotechnic displays, and best of all, 35,000 fans who came to watch the show. “When we were performing during that show it was brutally hot. It was like super humid, super hot, and very tropical but it was awesome. The place was packed with 25,000 people there. And we had pyro so the place was blowing up randomly throughout the performance,” Brian Fair, Shadows Fall lead singer said in an interview in the band’s North American tour.

The band, which recently released its sixth studio album Retribution and sold 13,000 copies during the first week of release, will perform a full set in the show to celebrate the album launch. “It’s an awesome city. We also had a chance to visit one of the smaller islands (Boracay) while we were there. It was just really beautiful. We can’t wait to get back to Manila.” It’s a one-night only show which costs P1,000 per ticket inclusive of a free copy of Madness in Manila DVD.

Shadows Fall fans are ecstatic for this occasion because not only is Shadows Fall coming to Manila to perform again, the band also chose our homeland as the feature for its first DVD release. This will be the first time a metal band will be featuring Manila in an internationally released live concert DVD. The worldwide release date for Madness in Manila is on Oct. 26, but Filipino fans will get the first dibs on the DVD as early as Oct. 6.

Shadows Fall Live in Manila is a show under the Pulp Unleashed Series for 2010.
