Synergy goes on a goodwill concert tour

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Synergy is coming to Manila to present A Voice to the World, a 90-minute high-paced song-and-dance variety show. Director D Kim Clayton shares: “The title, A Voice to the World, suggests to us that music truly is the universal language... a language that sees no boundaries, limitations, prejudices, or creeds. It is a show for all ages, styles, backgrounds and families.”

These talented 17-26-year-old performers have been carefully selected through a difficult audition process because of their talents, commitment to excellence, and desire to share their musical gift with people of the world. The show choir performs high-energy songs and dance routines from broadway to country, pop to funk, swing to musical theater visiting popular eras such as rock ‘n roll of the ‘50s, roaring ‘20s, big band era of the ‘40s, a salute to the ‘70s and ‘80s, and of course, the hits of today.

Synergy debuts in the Philippines with a performance tomorrow, July 25 at FEU Diliman followed by a performance at 6 p.m. for the Hospicio de San Jose Bicentennial Celebration.

On July 26, they perform in St. Paul University Manila Fleur de Lis Theater at 7pm in support of the St. Paul University Alumni Foundation (admission required). The next day, they perform for the Philippine High School for the Arts in Makiling at 7 p.m. (admission required). On July 28, there will be a 10:30 a.m. show at the FEU Silang Grade School Building and a 6 p.m. show at FEU Manila, FEU Auditorium (free admission).

On July 29, the group flies to Cebu and performs at the University of San Carlos, Cebu Main Campus at 6 p.m.

On July 30, they perform in Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu at 10 a.m. and in Sisters of Mary School, Talisay at 6 p.m. On July 31, the group performs for the Sisters of Mary School Boys Town in Mingnanilla at 3 p.m. Their July 30-31 performances are part of the Omnilogy, Inc’s Bridging the Gap Series Festival 2010.
