Jollibee takes a bite of Eclipse

MANILA, Philippines - As the highly-anticipated movie Eclipse hit the big screen, Jollibee made sure to give bitten and smitten fans the chance to be first in line at the cinemas to reunite with the romantic love triangle of Bella, Edward and Jacob.

Jollibee hosted a first-day screening for the third movie installment in the Twilight series at Cinema 2 of Podium last month with media friends and young celebrities. Spotted at the exclusive screening were Denise Laurel, model Samantha Sadhwani, Channel [V] VJ Cliff Cole, and model-couple Karen Pamintuan and Brent Javier.

Aside from getting the chance to see Eclipse, guests enjoyed their Jollibee burger and hotdog combo meals complete with drinks served in the limited edition Eclipse tumblers of their choice featuring Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black. During the short program that preceded the movie, Jollibee gift certificates and copies of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner (the spin-off novella by Twilight creator Stephenie Meyer) were given away to guests who correctly answered the trivia questions.

“Thanks to Jollibee for hosting this special screening for this exciting movie,” shares VJ Cliff who has been missing out on the vampire buzz until Jollibee gave him the opportunity to watch Eclipse with his barkada. “I finally know why the girls are after Twilight,” he adds with a laugh.

“Good job to Jollibee for bringing Twilight closer to young Filipinos, especially to us girls,” says Samantha who enjoyed the Jollibee treat with her best friend Stephanie Borlongan.

Twilight fans have been in and out of Jollibee stores these past weeks to be counted among the few and proud owners of the limited edition Eclipse tumblers. Bonding moments of barkada on a movie gimmick became even more enjoyable thanks to the barkada meal from Jollibee that came with a complete set of those cool and much-sought after Eclipse tumblers.
