Gabby'ng K Ganda at Music Museum

MANILA, Philippines - Gabby Concepcion takes a break from his busy calendar to bring joy to his fans by way of a musical concert slated at the Music Museum on July 2 and 3.

It will be an occasion of songs, laughter and fun as the star of ABS-CBN’s Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo guests K Brosas and Vice Ganda, who comes fresh from his successful Araneta Coliseum show.

With this wacky and exciting combination of talents, expect a lot of interaction between the intimate audience of Music Museum and the stars of the show. Gabby said he just loves it when his audience participates. He sees it as a joyous celebration with fans who have helped with his showbiz comeback.

Gabby’ng K Ganda, according to Gabby, will not only be a musical treat but a comic one at that. Those who have watched Gabby’s concerts in the past can attest to the fact that he has honed his singing skills throughout the years. In fact, even when he was still residing in the US, Gabby has mounted several concerts there, too, in his name.

“I will make the audience participate for this concert. It’s usual when somebody sings in front of people watching all throughout kaya iibahin ko for this one. We’re going to have lots of fun,” says Gabby who is now a certified recording artist and balladeer with two albums to boot under Warner Music.

In the concert, he will promote his sophomore CD Unforgettable by doing songs off the package like Moon River and Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, along with some surprise covers. K. Brosas is up for a duet with him, while current sensation Vice Ganda is expected to delight the audience with a hilarious set of his own.

Gabby takes time out to do this concert from doing the much-awaited reunion movie with his daughter KC Concepcion I’ll Be There.

Gabby keeps fit with a lot of exercise. “I make extra effort in having the right food intake, playing racket sports and keeping a youthful outlook,” he said with a smile.

Singing must be another reason why the handsome fellow remains very much young-looking. He acknowledges that the late FPJ convinced him to try singing, who told him he had to have at least one song to deliver with competence when situation requires. Now that one song has multiplied to fill up two albums and some admirable set lists.

“I’d like to label myself as ‘an actor on stage,’” Gabby utters in honest tone, “For me lahat pwedeng kumanta. You just have to put your heart into it.” And that, is how he is able to pack the venues of his performances, we conclude.

Gabby’ng K Ganda is being presented by Front Media Entertainment with major sponsors Primadonna, Caress Nail Polish, Xcyclone Quality Mountain Bikes, Zen Asia Spa. Media partners are Style Magazine, Blush Magazine, World Food Exchange Magazines and Manila Bulletin. Tickets are available at all TicketWorld outlets in National Bookstores, Robinsons Department Stores and Malls, Ayala Malls and at the Music Museum (with tel. nos. 721-0635 and 425-7077).
