Glee singing contest

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - If you and your friends love music and spend hours on end singing your hearts out then join etc and Jack TV’s Great Glee Sing Off. After successfully premiering Glee last year, etc and Jack TV offer fans of the show a chance to experience the thrill of Sectionals, Regionals and Nationals just like their favorite characters. Here’s your chance to harmonize with friends from your school (only open to schools in Mega Manila area) as a Glee club.

Together with your friends form an eight- to 12- member show choir (members should be aged 15 to 21) and upload a video of your group singing Don’t Stop Believing from the Glee soundtrack together with a letter of intent to www.etc.com.ph or www.jacktv.com.ph.

From among the on-line entries organizers will choose 20 participants to join Sectionals where they will need to sing another song from the Glee soundtrack in front of representatives from Solar Entertainment. The Top 10 will then move on to Regionals where they must perform a mash-up in front of a live audience and the Great Glee Sing Off judges: Joshua Zamora (The Maneuvers), Michael Williams (Theater Down South Company), a member of The CompanY (Philippine’s premiere show choir) and a Solar Entertainment representative. The final cut will result with the Top 5 making it through to the finals — Nationals.

Before airing all-new episodes of Glee in April, both etc and Jack TV will pre-empt the second half of the season with marathons aimed to get you in the mood for more song-and-dance numbers.
