MANILA, Philippines - Tanya Garcia outdoes herself again. After being away from the limelight, Tanya shares another passion as she pursues her love for all things beautiful.

A believer of “the secret to beauty is staying young at heart,” Tanya revels at the simple thing in life. This is the key secret to her flawless beauty. She counts baking for husband Mark Lapid and spending time with daughter Mischa as tops on her list. After being a full-time mom, the mestiza beauty gets her hands busy with a new baby — the Alcutraz Salon Studio located at Metrowalk Ortigas Alcutraz Salon Studio, Tanya’s first foray in the beauty field. Tanya took up Salon Management and Makeup Artistry Program at the Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty. “Beauty has always been my passion. When I was young, I would always stand in front of a mirror and put on makeup using my mother’s cosmetics. I want to look beautiful all the time,” she shares.

“It has always been a dream to open a business that will help embrace my passion. It’s definitely something I love and I know I’ll do my best, just like in acting!” she says. With a brave new step, Tanya plunges her feet into the beauty industry — this time as owner of this breakthrough concept.
