24 Oras wins awards

MANILA, Philippines - For the past months, GMA 7’s 24 Oras headlined by Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco (photo) has been receiving awards.  In December 2009, the news program won the Most Well Liked TV Program from ANAK TV Foundation.

A month after, Philippine Psychiatric Association awarded 24 Oras the Outstanding News/Documentary Program plum during its First SISA Awards.

Last month,, 24 Oras won the Ani ng Dangal Award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

Its latest award came early this month, when the program won Best News and Public Affairs Program at the Northwest Samar State University Students’ Choice Awards. Mel and Mike were proclaimed Best Newscasters.
