Telus U Rock at World Trade

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Telus International Philippines (TIP) team members rocked the World Trade Center as they celebrated their annual Town Hall. Dubbed Telus U Rock, the combined rock concert and company party turned out to be a blockbuster affair with an estimated 4,000 team members in attendance. For more than eight hours, team members garbed in creative rock fashions were treated to entertainment, dancing, food and prizes.

Highlight of the evening was the Battle of the Bands, a competition that demonstrated the enormous musical talents of several Telus team members. Twenty-three bands applied for the competition, with only eight performing after a pre-event elimination round. Jett Pangan was one of the guests.

After a night of friendly competition, Snooze Box won the chance to record three of its songs on the Telus Album produced by Sony Music Philippines. Each performing band will also record a single.

In his welcome message, International president Jeffrey Puritt said, “Tonight is a time for TELUS team members to enjoy themselves, celebrate the successes to date, and look to finish the year strong. With close to 8,000 team members in Manila, we remain committed to providing unparalleled experiences for our team members as well as our clients. This year’s Town Hall event is just one example of our culture and shared belief in working hard while having fun too.”

As a leading provider of contact center and business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions, TELUS International is regarded as a premier employer in the Philippine outsourcing industry.
