Home Health Care's advocacy

MANILA, Philippines - Home Health Care officials have been doing the rounds of TV and radio programs to celebrate their fifth year of operations and promote its advocacy of proper care for the elderly and homebound individuals.

Recently, Dr. Mary Jean Guno, HHC’s managing director, and Dr. Doris Camagay, HHC’s geriatric program director were interviewed by Pia Hontiveros on ANC’s Shop Talk, the daily afternoon lifestyle program on ABS-CBN’s cable channel. Camagay talked about the different sicknesses common among senior citizens while Guno spoke on HHC’s various health services for the elderly, including two senior residences in Quezon City and conducting vaccinations against flu just like what they did for employees of The Philippine Star.

The assisted living facilities at Teacher’s Village which was formally blessed to coincide with senior citizen week and the first one at Filinvest 1 are regular-sized homes adapted for the elderly and manned by well-trained staff under HHC’s geriatric director.

The pair was also featured on Salamat Dok where they discussed the same topic with host Cheryl Cosim.

Last month, Camagay was the featured guest of Health Check at the Global News Network. Guno and Camagay are regular resource persons on DWWW and DZAS.

Soon the HHC physicians will be seen on the health segment hosted by Lyn Perez in UNTV’s Good Morning Kuya and other similar shows in the other networks.
