Joel Cruz is the new Calayan endorser

DIRECT LINE - Boy Abunda -

Dr. Manny Calayan and entrepreneur Joel Cruz have forged a new partnership. Joel is the first in the series of entrepreneurs who endorse Calayan Surgi Center. The new partnership is expected to bring Calayan Surgi Center to new heights.

“The best talaga si Doc Manny. I lost weight immediately with just a few visits. He is very professional,” said Joel. Joel’s face will be seen in billboards all over the country and in the US. He said that he was very impressed with Calayan Surgi Center’s professionalism. He has done treatments on his face, and skin. “In this business you have to be honest. Punta ka talaga sa sigurado. Professional siya at nag-aral talaga,” said Joel.

Joel is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country who made it through hard work and perseverance. “Dati gusto kong yumaman. Pag napasaya mo ang mga tao then you will realize it’s not just about money or fame. It’s a different kind of fulfillment.”

Joel and Doc Manny only have good words for each other. “Doc Manny is very humble,” enthused Joel. “He is rich and famous yet down to earth,” said Doc Manny of Joel.

This is a partnership that smells and looks good!

Calayan Surgi Center has a branch in Beverly Hills.

Spelling Bee returns

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee returns for a holiday repeat featuring many surprise celebrity appearances. The charming musical comedy, written by William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin and directed by Bobby Garcia, already had two sold-out runs in Manila and one at the Victoria Theatre in Singapore last August.

Here are what past surprise celebrity guest spellers say about Spelling Bee:

KC Concepcion: As guest speller with no rehearsals, it was like being on a rollercoaster ride. You don’t know what to expect and everything just happens around you. You’re at the mercy of the whole cast. I loved every minute of it. The cast was fantastic at playing kids, too. Even though I knew all of them, I was really convinced they were kids.

Cherie Gil: I loved Spelling Bee! It was an exceptionally fun night at the theater!  It reminded me that I need to go back to school, which I am doing!

Eugene Domingo: Spelling Bee is very entertaining! Definitely the best musical for the whole family to enjoy! And most of all, I was so glad to have been invited to be a speller!

Jett Pangan:  Spelling Bee is the funniest show I have ever seen! I could watch it over and over again! Plus, I’m a Joel Trinidad fan!

Nyoy Volante: I can’t wait for the Spelling Bee repeat! I want to bring back my friends and family to see it! Spelling Bee is a truly fun and heartwarming show!

Rachel Alejandro:  I’ve seen Spelling Bee three times and I have been recommending it to all my friends!  It’s super funny and the whole cast blew me away!

Sitti: Spelling Bee is a charming and endearing musical! And the cast is simply superb!

Spelling Bee runs from Dec. 4 to 13 at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati.  A special one night only R-rated performance is set Dec. 5 at 8 p.m.  For tickets, call Atlantis Productions at 892-7078 or 840-1187.
