Mel celebrates birthday tonight

MANILA, Philippines - Mel Tiangco gets a fitting tribute tonight on GMA 7’s Mel & Joey as she marks her birthday tomorrow, Aug. 10.

Two important guys in Mel’s life will serenade her with You’ve Got A Friend: Her 24 Oras co-anchor Mike Enriquez and co-host Joey de Leon.

In Special Sound of Music segment, disabled children called “Rondalla on Wheels” and “Sparkle Band” comprised of kids with autism dedicate heartwarming numbers for Mel.

Abet Reyes gifts Mel with one of his angels in Koleksyon and in Hanep Bahay, we will be given a tour of the ancestral house of the heirs of Doña Viring Jo-Liza who are now successful antique dealers.

Mel will again distribute gifts to the studio audience and surprise pedicab driver Raul who lost both legs with his brand-new tricycle.
